Tour New Homes in the Triangle, NC at the Triangle Parade of Homes
This event is North Carolina’s largest open house by far and is put on annually by the Home Builders Association of Raleigh- Wake County in partnership with the Home Builders Association of Durham, Orange, and Chatham Counties. Parade-goers will be able to tour the latest newly built homes and communities throughout the Triangle - from Durham to Clayton and everywhere in between! What Triangle residents love most about this event is that it gives them a peek into up-and-coming trends in home building and decor! They’ll discover emerging patterns in home layouts, lot sizes, color schemes, and materials.
This parade will feature more than 250 brand new homes in the Triangle, NC, with prices ranging from the low $200k’s to upwards of $2 million. Wake County home builders are bringing the most lavish homes to the parade, with the top 8 most expensive entries in entire parade coming from Raleigh, NC. The homes selected to be featured in the parade represent the latest in design, trends, style, and quality. Home builders who have participated in past parades laud the Parade of Homes for being their best method in spreading the word about their brand and having their homes exposed to the largest number of potential buyers. The Home Builders Associations that continue to organize this event year-after-year do so in order to showcase why the Triangle NC is one of the best regions in the nations for buyers to invest in.
Triangle Parade of Homes Trends
We’ve taken a look through this year’s Triangle Parade of Homes entries and have noticed a few trends you can expect to find on this year's tour.
- Names: Triangle builders have become bolder when naming their models in order to catch the eye of judges and buyer. Flipping through your tour catalog, you can expect to find cheeky names like “Order in the Court”, “Sofia’s Choice”, and even “Let Me Take You Home Tonight.”
- Styles: Keeping with the trend of the past few years, farmhouse style and craftsman style are still prevailing as the featured favorites when it comes to architecture and detail, with some more traditional, cape cod, and even ultra-modern styles mixing in. Open floor plans and clean white kitchens complete with subway tiles are as hot as ever. This year you’ll also notice lower cabinets painted in bold accent colors mixing in to bring some depth to the all-while schemes we’ve been seeing.
- Features: Multigenerational living is sweeping the nation and you’ll take notice with this year’s entries featuring more and more in-law and main-level guest suites. Green living and energy efficiency will be on the forefront of new home buyers’ minds for years to come so you can expect to see that reflected in the systems and appliances of many of these homes. Another feature that’s becoming more popular is the decked-out laundry room. What was once a dimly lit closet, is now a spa-like zen zone filled with natural light. Some of these entries even have two!
Triangle Parade of Homes Winners
